I was lost but now I am found. My name is Jack and I am Lynn's faithful companion and the official Director of Stress Management at the office. In fact, here I am hard at work.
You may be surprised to learn that I wasn't always such a consummate professional. In fact, my life was quite adventurous prior to settling down with Lynn.
My story begins on Tuesday August 9, 2011 when I was found in Issaquah. Once I was picked up I was taken to the Kent Animal Care and Control Shelter, where I was given my new name, Newt, by a volunteer there. I spent a week in Kent, receiving some much needed boy surgery (if you know what I mean), being groomed, and getting micro-chipped.
A little after a week in Kent, and being neutered and micro-chipped, I was transferred to PAWS in Lynnwood on Monday August 15.
They said that PAWS was in need of more small dogs and so I was chosen to make the journey North.
I arrived at PAWS on August 15 after the longest adventure of my young life. But there was no time to rest. I was only at PAWS for two days before someone must have seen me online, because they came in and adopted me on the 17th.
I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I thought for sure that I was destined for a great new home. I was also looking forward to relaxing after all of my travels.
Unfortunately, the people who adopted me were not meant to be because upon getting home they promptly put me up for sale on Craigslist. They wrote that they had to move out of the country and that they were selling their cherished dog they had since he was a puppy. I was just being used to make a quick buck, and I wish I knew how to speak because I wanted to tell everyone that they were lying.
Fortunately, Lynn saw me and was able to look past my shaved hair and frazzled appearance. She came to meet me and take me home. That was when I met my new best friend and went to my forever home. That's also when I became JACK!
